Web Design and Development
Web design and development are the terms for the work required to build a website for the Internet, or more succinctly, the World Wide Web (WWW). There are several stages required for building a website:
1. The first stage of web development includes planning, research, architecture, wireframing and sitemap creation. It also requires no small measure of creative writing and skill with the technologies that may best represent the client web site.
2. The second stage includes the design and modification of that design through various mockups intended to allow the client to get an idea of what the finished product will look like. These designs can be simple, one page desktop designs or they can include designs spanning what the site will look like on various pages across multiple devices such as electronic tablets and smart phones.
3. The last stage includes writing the content of the site in great detail. Writing using easily understandable language, appropriate headings and subheadings, and of course with a mind to proper SEO. This stage also includes properly programming and developing the technologies that are to be used in the final web site product. Quality is of utmost importance in this stage.
